As President of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, it is my honor to invite you to the 2022 League Annual Conference. This year’s conference is taking place at the Renaissance Hotel Glendale, located near State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals and the 2023 Super Bowl!
Reflecting on the challenges of the recent years and the opportunities that lie ahead, it is more important than ever to take advantage of all the League has to offer. Speaking with a unified voice to protect shared revenues and local control, the League of Arizona Cities and Towns has been a stabilizing force, representing our common interests with unwavering dedication while also enhancing our reputation for solution-based collaboration.
The role of elected officials and public servants comes with many complexities and this conference is an exceptional forum to discuss issues of mutual concern while taking advantage of an abundance of educational opportunities and workshops highlighting best practices.
It is an honor to serve as League President, working with fellow Mayors and Councilmembers to provide a voice for all cities and towns. Thank you to League Staff for all of your efforts in bringing this year’s conference together.

This year’s League golf event will take place at Topgolf Glendale, the premier entertainment destination in Glendale, AZ. Topgolf is a game that anyone can play and enjoy, even if you’re getting more hole-in-nones than hole-in-ones!
The League attendees will have the full top floor with indoor food and beverage and climate-controlled hitting bays for comfort.
Each bay has up to six golfers per bay and each bay will compete for prizes.

Each city and town is urged to participate in the development of the League's Municipal Policy Statement. Mayor Nicholls of Yuma will serve as chairman of this year's Resolutions Committee.
Mayors of our cities and towns understand the critical importance of adequately funding our transportation system. Our communities have seen the benefits of smart transportation investments - from growing populations, to economic development investments and increased tourism throughout our state. The future of transportation funding in Arizona is at risk, and there are implications for all cities and towns as needs continue to rise and resources shrink. Join leaders in transportation funding and planning to hear about the realities municipalities face in 2022 and beyond.
All AMRRP members are encouraged to attend the annual meeting.

The 2022 Showcase of Cities and Towns will be held on Thursday, September 1. There will be food and drinks. Booths will be 10' by 10'.

Tour of Luke Air Force Base and F-35A Lighting II Fighter Jet: 9:00 AM-11:30 AM
Come discover the new F-35A Lighting II operating at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale. The F-35 is replacing the U.S. Air Force’s aging fleet of F-16 Fighting Falcons and A-10 Thunderbolt II’s, which have been the primary fighter aircraft for more than 20 years. Luke AFB is home to nearly half of the entire Air Force F-35 fleet! Participants will enjoy a driving tour of Luke Air Force Base, a meet and greet with F-35 pilot and command staff, and the opportunity to see the F-35 up close.
Advance security measures are required so participants will be asked to provide a copy of their driver license before the tour.

Tour of Cardinals Stadium: 2:30 PM-4:30 PM
Completed in August of 2006, State Farm Stadium has set the standard in multi-purpose NFL facilities. The stadium is home to a variety of different events including Arizona Cardinals home games, the annual Fiesta Bowl, international soccer matches, motorsports, trade & consumer shows, and corporate & social functions.
Designed with a roll-out natural grass field and retractable roof, the first of its kind in North America, the stadium is capable of converting from a sports facility to a multi-functional event space allowing it to host numerous event types in air-conditioned comfort.
Note: This tour is limited to 40 people, sign up is on a first come first serve basis.
