Please see website for information
The University of Arizona's Cooperative Extension is pleased to announce the launching of a new online course related to land use planning. The Arizona Citizen Planner 101™ (AzCP 101)
is a 10-hour online course designed for planning commissioners and elected officials throughout the state. Enrollees will learn the importance and role of their county or city's
planning commission as well as about their respective planning processes. The course is self-paced and accessible at any time with an Internet connection. Planning jurisdictions
around the state will find this course invaluable in bringing new planning commissioners and elected officials up to speed on the state's planning statutes, their jurisdiction's
planning authorities, the role of public participation in developing plans and a host of other useful topics. It is also a great refresher course for public officials who may want
to hone their decision-making skills.
The enrollment fee is $99. A certificate is available upon completion of all units.
This course was adapted for Arizona municipal and county
planning officials by University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in partnership with Michigan State University's American Citizen Planner Institute and the Arizona Chapter of the
American Planning Association.

2013 DOE Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting
Consortium Annual Meeting
Marriott Desert Ridge
Phoenix, Arizona
Edward Smalley and Seattle City Light are hosting the 2013 DOE Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting Consortium Annual Meeting. This year's meeting will be held at the Marriott
Desert Ridge in Phoenix. It will be occurring in conjunction with the IES Street and Area Lighting Conference (SALC) during
the Wednesday session. Attendees can listen and ask questions as municipalities and utilities discuss solutions to common hurdles preventing LED street lighting installations.
SALC attendees are automatically registered for the MSSLC Annual Meeting.
Many SALC registrants do not realize they are already eligible to attend the MSSLC Annual Meeting at no additional cost! While we are not allowing manufacturers or their representatives
to attend the afternoon session, attendees will leave the event excited an informed about current innovations in street and area lighting.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the MSSLC team or reach out to me directly. Conference registration information is
available here.
