NLC Leadership Positions
Serving in an NLC leadership position or getting engaged through one of NLC's member councils or federal advocacy committees is one of the most rewarding
ways for you as a municipal leader to bring your expertise to the service of cities and towns at the national level. By representing your city or town and
contributing your voice, you have the opportunity to impact the actions of the National League of Cities as they help to shape the direction of the
organization and even national policy. Depending on your availability and the level of commitment you seek, there is a spot for you to get involved
with NLC. Applications are available now to serve on the NLC Board of Directors, the seven Federal Advocacy Committees, the six NLC Member Councils,
and on the Board for four Constituency Groups.
The application deadline for leadership positions is October 14, 2016.
The application deadlines for Federal Advocacy Committee membership is November 23.
