WIFA - 2015 Report Card for America's Infrastructure

The following material was provided by the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA).

The American Society of Civil Engineers recently published their 2015 Report Card for America's Infrastructure. While there were "satisfactory" marks for much of Arizona's infrastructure, there were also many areas that "need improvement." In its comprehensive assessment of current infrastructure conditions, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) assigned grades to Arizona in the categories represented in wastewater, rail, transit, aviation, roads, and bridges, to name a few. To view the full report card, click here.

"Passing" grades were given to Arizona's drinking water ('C-') and wastewater ('C') infrastructure. When it comes to our most precious resource, the one that we need to live, investments are essential to raise the grade. Safe and adequate water supplies and treatment are critical to the future and economy of Arizona.

If you are looking to raise your community's water or wastewater infrastructure grade, WIFA can help. WIFA provides below market interest rate loans to finance important water and wastewater infrastructure projects. WIFA can fund the planning, design and construction of pipes, treatment plants, tanks, wells and so much more. For more information on "raising the grade" with WIFA, please contact Susan Craig at scraig@azwifa.org.
