Budgets are the financial plan that a city or town uses to deliver services to its citizens for each fiscal year. It sets the framework for the implementation of the services and is one of the most important processes a city or town undergoes.

This session will cover the steps required to develop a budget (revenues, expenditures & fund balances) and how the budget can be effectively communicated to Elected Officials, Staff and Citizens.

Ethics credits are required for an active attorney by June 30th of each year. This is the last day to gain two hours of valuable ethics credits before the deadline!

This ethics training will include an update to the Rules of Professional Conduct, discuss issues relating to conflict of interest, and offer best practices for municipal attorneys when managing privilege and disclosure issues with their council members and staff.

Evening information sessions are scheduled in time for you to learn about our programs and still have time to apply for summer or fall. Topics covered include admissions, curriculum, and enrollment for our MPA, MPP, and graduate certificate programs. Advisors will be available to answer questions from interested potential students.

Now enrolling! New graduate certificates in participatory governance, policy informatics, public administration and public policy are accepting applications. Certificates consist of only five courses and are a great resume enhancement for current students or previous graduates from any discipline!
