ADOT Statewide Freight Planning Process
Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is now beginning local outreach efforts related to its upcoming Statewide Freight Plan. Strongly
encouraged by recent federal transportation legislation, these statewide plans assess the current capacity for freight movement across
Arizona's modes: highway, rail, and air cargo and determine the location and priority of future investments in the state's freight movement system.
Cities and towns that see freight and logistics, warehousing, distribution, and value-added light manufacturing as a potential part of their
economic development strategy may contact Michael DeMers at mdemers@azdot.gov for more information
regarding how they can participate in the planning process.
