Life membership in the League of Arizona Cities and Towns is the highest honor that can be paid to any city or town official by the
League. Life membership is bestowed by resolution of the delegates at the conference. There are only 17
individuals that have received life membership in the League.
This year the League honored former Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs and former Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup with the 2012 Life Member
Awards. Both life members were former presidents of the League.
