Arizona Town Hall Forum

In celebration of the Arizona Town Hall's 50th Anniversary of championing civil discourse and consensus dialogue, and honoring
the idea of citizen engagement in the development of our state and its communities, a special campaign is being launched. One
element of the campaign includes a large Forum here in the Phoenix area. This Forum showcases the recommendations on Civic
Engagement made by citizens from across the state at the recent 100th Arizona Town Hall. This Forum will be an action-based
discussion on the important findings that you can find on our website by

Growth & Infrastructure Consortium

GIC is hosting its 2012 Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of the conference is "Doing So Much with So Little: Funding Local Government Facilities and Services." Their focus
is how to pay for the infrastructure needed to serve growth. Many communities are finding it increasingly challenging in a time of declining general revenues to pay for the additional
operating and maintenance costs associated with new facilities. So this year they are expanding their scope. They are interested in new developments in both traditional and innovative

International City/County Management Association (ICMA) 98th Annual Conference
October 7-10, 2012
Phoenix Convention Center
ICMA is holding their 98th Annual Conference at the Phoenix Convention Center. The conference will have four days of packed information- interactive educational sessions with other local
government professionals and the opportunity to discover and share the real-life practices and actionable solutions local government managers can bring back to their entire team! More than
3,000 local government managers and staff are expected to attend the conference.

ULI: The Annual Boards and Commissions Conference

This one-day event for new and seasoned elected and appointed officials and staff from Arizona cities, towns and counties will hone decision-making, nuts and bolts, and leadership skills
relating to the roles and responsibilities of planning commissions and boards of adjustment. Expert speakers will discuss current trends, case studies, and facilitate an interactive
