Georgian Terrace Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia

GIC is hosting its 2012 Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of the conference is "Doing So Much with So Little: Funding Local Government Facilities and Services." Their focus is how to pay for the infrastructure needed to serve growth. Many communities are finding it increasingly challenging in a time of declining general revenues to pay for the additional operating and maintenance costs associated with new facilities. So this year they are expanding their scope. They are interested in new developments in both traditional and innovative techniques to fund both the capital and operating costs associated with accommodating growth.
