Model City Tax Code and Tax Policy for Cities and Towns

Location: League of Arizona Cities and Towns, Room 101
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Tom Belshe, Deputy Director of the League, will walk attendees through an overview of the model city tax code, including its history and how it is currently utilized by both cities and towns and the business community. This discussion will also include a look at municipal tax policy and possible implications moving forward.

Sustainable Transportation and Land Use Integration Study-Public and Business Forum Two

Location: Executive Conference Center, West Building, Phoenix Convention Center, 3rd Floor

The Urban Land Institute, Arizona District Council (ULI) and the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) invite you to participate in an open forum to discuss implications of today's transportation investment decisions for the long-term competitiveness and quality of life in metropolitan Phoenix.

Forum Two builds upon the results of Forum One, which took place on June 2, 2011, and will delve deeper into key findings and tools for supporting Transit-Oriented Development and making smart transit investment choices developed through MAG's Sustainable Transportation and Land Use Integration Study. 2012 National League of Cities Congressional City Conference

Location: Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Washington, DC

The NLC Congressional City Conference is fast approaching. This is a great event to gather in Washington, DC with other local elected officials from around the country. Every March NLC hosts the Congressional City Conference to provide the opportunity for city leaders to learn about key federal issues and actions that affect cities and towns.
