Wednesday, August 29
8:30 a.m.YOUTH PROGRAM BEGINS +
Youth delegates from your city or town are invited to join us at the 7th Annual League Youth Program to be held during the Conference, Wednesday, August 29th at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch. Attendees will participate in their own sessions and activities, and will also have the opportunity to interact with local elected officials.
Highlights of the one-day program will include: team-building exercises, as well as networking and information sharing opportunities for the youth councils. Sessions will address youth leadership, how to become active and engaged members of the community, and how to build healthy relationships.
Youth commissions and Youth Advisory Boards from across the state are invited to participate.
Event Cost: $60
For each student and chaperone attending the Youth Program.

Dr. Catlett is a Regents Professor in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business and Extension Economics and the Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University.
He is an exciting futurist whose knowledge of technologies and their implications on the way we will live and work is addressed in his varied and upbeat presentations. His vast knowledge astounds corporate and association audiences both nationally and internationally. His presentations are thought-provoking and highly entertaining.

Tour of Scottsdale's Water Campus
Scottsdale’s Water Campus is a state-of-the-art water and wastewater treatment complex encompassing three distinct facilities: 1) a 70 million gallon a day (mgd) surface water treatment plant for potable purposes, 2) a 20 mgd water reclamation plant that processes effluent to a high quality level allowing it to be use for open access irrigation - primarily on 22 golf courses in north Scottsdale, and 3) a 20 mgd advanced water treatment plant that further processes the effluent through microfiltration and reverse osmosis prior to it being used for groundwater aquifer recharge via 55 vadose wells. The tour of the Water Campus will focus on the advanced water treatment plant.
